This summer, SM City North Edsa kicks-off a different experience through Art Karnival, an interactive and fun exhibit of visual arts that invites people to experience art first hand.

In partnership with Vinyl on Vinyl, one of Manila’s hippest contemporary art galleries, Art Karnival features young artists Anjo Bolarda, Bato, Blic, Garapata, Jeffry Jay Jarin, Tyang Karyel, VOV Studio and Whoop. This edgy initiative hopes to bring a new appreciation of art in the north.
Instead of the usual ribbon-cutting, Art Karnival was formally opened by sticking colorful stickers on the huge Art Karnival sign. Of course, I participated too! :)

Along the wide stretch of Skygarden are the carefully selected and placed pieces that would bring the art piece and the surrounding to life.

As we do a short tour, you can easily find art pieces that pop out while some pieces are really difficult to notice. They come in different shapes and sizes so better on the lookout to find the “hidden” ones. Hehe. I also find it amazing that some art would puzzle your mind. :)
To wrap up the event, Reese Lansangan, a singer-songwriter, serenaded us with two of her original compositions. Do you know that she also blogs? :)

Art Karnival runs from April 21 to June 12, 2017 at SM City North EDSA Skygarden. Come and see the unique installation pieces by each featured artist curated specially for the space by Vinyl on Vinyl. It is surely a one of a kind experience this summer that everyone would enjoy!
