Not your usual art museum, Pinto Art Museum feels like a huge garden with galleries. Despite how beautiful the place is, we didn’t feel the ambience that much.
I’ve been telling Gerald to visit the museum last year, when I see some friends go here and it looks really beautiful. We tried to go on the third week of January but laziness hit us, we just strolled around the mall. Haha. Thankfully on our second attempt by the end of January, we finally made it!

Pinto Art Museum is really huge, at 1.3 hectares according to the map given to us. Once you step inside, you wouldn’t think there are galleries around because all I see are greens and whites and I would even think this is a garden or probably a resort, with a Greek theme.
It happened that I wore a white polo shirt and off-white shoes. Too much white?
I am not really that interested with art so I wanted to walk fast and get out because I like nature more. But Gerald seems interested, he takes a few seconds reading through the descriptions of paintings and works.
Unexpectedly, Gerald doesn’t seem to be in the mood for taking photos. He’s even frustrated with his shots and kept on asking “What’s wrong with me?”. And I would say, “It’s okay, maybe you’re just not in the mood. Let’s get out of here.” That’s why we only had a few photos around, also because I don’t see the point of taking photos of the paintings and crafts.

We spent around two hours (which include few minutes of rest) inside Pinto Art Museum. We didn’t speak that much but while we’re on our way back, he asked me if I’m tired. I answered yes. He was a little shocked with my answer because he thought I was satisfied. I would usually answer excitingly, “Yes, but I had fun!” It turns out Gerald feels the same. He thinks maybe because of how quiet it is and the other people around that you have to consider in taking photos. Or maybe we’re just both not in the mood that time.

I don’t know, but I can’t say I have enjoyed the trip. I’ve read a lot of blogs about Pinto Art Museum and it seems like they all had fun and even recommended the place. I’m sure it’s only me, since I’m not into art anyway. If you do love art, Pinto Art Museum is surely one of the places you need to visit because there are a lot that you may find interesting.
It’s your turn!
- Have you been to Pinto Art Museum? Did you enjoy your trip?
- What do you like most about the museum?
- If you’ve not been here yet, do you have plans of going soon?

I’ve never been into that museum but I’ve been to the National Museum. i’m not really into art and all, but history is better for me.
mei
I’ve also visited National Museum and another museum in Vigan, and I didn’t enjoy them either. Haha Not into art or history. Haha
danielle
your photos make it look cool but it’s a shame you didn’t enjoy it that much!

I don’t think it’s a shame though, I’m not just into art, but I do appreciate looking at them.

I’ve been to Pinto and it exhausted the hell out of me. The place is massive but I enjoyed every bit of it. Everywhere you go feels like an instagram-worthy spot! I love your photos too!
Sadly, I haven’t posted about my trip there since I have tons of photos. Haha

Haha yes, it’s really tiring walking around the huge place! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Thank you, my photos are taken by Gerald. I’ll tell him that! :)
You should post about your trip! You ca make a collage, or just choose few photos. But I know, it’s hard to choose! Haha

Your photos turned out great, though, even if you two were tired! I’ve never been to this museum, but I’d love to go. It looks like there are a lot of opportunities for photo-ops! :)
mei
Thank you, photos are taken by Gerald :)
I agree, there are even pre-nup shoots being held there! :)

I’ve been there last year. I can remember that it was really exhausting because the place is huge. We stopped and took rests in between galleries para hindi kami masyado mapagod. haha. But the place was really nice! Though I find some of the arts, creepy which are not good for kids.
I’m not really surprised that you felt that way after your trip. haha. By the way, I like the shots!! Are these shots taken using canon eos m10? I’m torn between fuji xa2 and m10 eh. undecided pa din ako. haha.
mei
Yes, they are all take using M10, by Gerald :) I also thought of XA2, pero sabi nung iba di daw maganda video quality. :(
Nakakapagod talaga, tapos di ko pa ma-enjoy mga galleries hahaha yes, there are some creepy stuff na nakakakilabot.

IT’s definitely the kind of place I’d love to go – I do enjoy a good art gallery. I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy it though :(
mei
It’s okay, at least now I know that I’m really not into galleries, since that was my third gallery attempt already. Hehe

Sadly, my husband and I are not into arts. Or should I say, does not enjoy looking at art galleries. So there’s no chance that we’re going to Pinto Art Museum. If I just knew this place early I would have ask my husband to have our pre-nuptial photos be taken here. Actually, I can still suggest this place to my sister who’ll be having her pre-nuptial photos soon!
I love your set of photos by the way. Your boyfriend has an eye for photography. :)
mei
Yes, Pinto Art Museum accepts shoots! They should have it there, because the view is really beautiful :)
Thank you, I’ll let him know that, he’ll be flattered for sure. He’s been interested with photography lately. :)

Ahh, Pinto will always be one of my favorite museums because it’s cozy and has superb view! I really, really love this place. :) Such a shame that I haven’t brought Mark here JUST YET, but I’d definitely love to. Glad you had fun on your adventure!
mei
Actually, I didn’t have much fun because it’s tiring and I don’t like art that much.
You two should go, since you love it here, share it to Mark! :)
Dice
this place is beautiful for a museum :D
mei
Yes, I even mentioned it didn’t look like a museum at first. Haha

Never been there but I’ve always wanted to go. Not all museums are for everyone, and it’s okay! I personally am not a fan of artefacts / old civilisations (egyptians, tribes, etc) but I do enjoy modern artworks and a bit of historic pieces. Find something that’s focused on what excites you, medyo trial and error though. ;)

Glad, I’m not the only one. Haha this is my third museum attempt, and I don’t think I’ll go into museums again haha except if it has beautiful view like this one. :)
I think I’m more into the adventurous side, where I could challenge myself doing something I’ve never done before. Hehe

Huhu. Can I just go there too. I have been reading tons of reviews about this (even my sister). I guess I will have the chance to here soon? HAHA. I just really like the white walls and all the paintings in the museum. They always give me that nice feeling and relaxation whenever I see arts around. It also serves like a little inspiration. <3

Wow, I’d love to visit this museum! Greek theme is very nice. All the art is very beautiful. And that picture with the stairs is too cute. Ha, I would LOVE to have stairs like that actually.
mei
I hope you could have that kind of stairs :) And I also hope you visit this one, you’ll enjoy it :)
Kya
Wow, it does seem like a really amazing place to visit, but I guess it would not be for everyone and that is okay! Personally, the concept of mixing art with nature is really appealing to me. :)
mei
Yes, at least I tried, and know that I’m not really into art. Hehe yes, art and nature is a good mix! :)
April
I’ve always wanted to go there! The place looks so good with all those “hippie like” artworks. I know the place was kind of mainstream now but I still want to go. Haha!
Btw, cool shot there! Yung levitating shot. <3
mei
Go, you should visit this museum :)
Thanks, Gerald is getting better taking levitation shots hehe

I’ve been longing to see this place! Hopefully soon. Great photos, Mei! <3

Hopefully soon, will look forward to it! :)

Still, your photos looks amazing, Mei! I’ve never been a fan of art much, as well. I like looking at it and that’s it. I enjoyed my visit though – I guess that’s mainly because it was fun how my friends and I challenge each other to make as many poses as we can. I’m actually looking forward to come back – we missed a gallery or two.
mei
Aww sayang, but yes you can always go back :)
I wanted to take more photos but I can’t do portrait shots because I don’t know how to pose. Hahaha Thanks, though the photos were mostly taken by Gerald :)

I have always wanted to go here, and your post made me feel more excited to go there!
Keep the posts coming! <3

Just go! Have fun :)

Nice photos. I also went to Pinto Art Museum recently and had it as my latest blog feature. There’s just too much in that place and certainly, you cannot finish every corner in half a day. LOL
